Doug Wagoner, president and CEO of LMI, has received a 2021 Wash100 Award, the most significant award in all of government contracting (GovCon), to recognize his leadership and vision to drive LMI’s revenue and growth strategy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Previously, Wagoner received his first Wash100 Award in 2015 for his contributions to the GovCon community as he oversaw, as SAIC’s Sector President, the development of emerging technology and other initiatives for network integration, logistics, mission systems engineering and simulation programs.
“Doug Wagoner brings an immediate advantage to LMI with exceptional experience and tested leadership skills as the company works some of the most strategic missions of the time, including securing the supply chains and COVID-19 response,” said Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the Wash100 Award.
Wagoner was appointed LMI’s president and CEO in Aug 2020. He has brought more than 30 years of experience as an elite leader in the federal information technology and management consulting spaces.
“LMI has served our coveted list of clients in the defense, intelligence, and health markets with dynamic, leading-edge technology and analytics,” said Wagoner. “I have admired LMI for many years and am proud to be their leader as we leverage our unique culture to execute our transformation to continue to lead in our markets.”
Since his appointment, Wagoner has demonstrated excellence in leadership to drive LMI to $505 million in contract bookings and $397 million in revenue in 2020, ExecutiveBiz reported.
That includes a five-year Air Force Logistics Support Extension in Jan. 2021, a potential $78 million DHS CBRN Defense Support contract in Dec. 2020, and a $50 million contract with the Department of Defense (DOD) to manage various elements of logistics operations associated with both commercial and federal supply chains.
More recently, Wagoner emphasized his commitment to drive LMI’s overall growth strategy to grow its operations through 2025 while also promoting diversity and inclusion in its workforce.
In addition, Wagoner’s focus on the operations and logistics of LMI’s senior management team saw some changes over the course of the year. For instance, Christine Cocrane, LMI’s former director of Policy Analysis and Operations, succeeded Christen Smith as vice president of Management Advisory Services for the company in Nov. 2020.
“Chrissy is a proven leader greatly respected by her LMI colleagues. She understands our culture and the high expectations to which we hold ourselves—and has delivered for our customers time and again,” said Wagoner.
In Dec. 2020, Wagoner also oversaw the promotion of Pete Pflugrath, former interim chief growth officer and vice president of Logistics, as the senior vice president for Markets and Growth, and Josh Wilson, LMI’s former vice president of Digital and Analytic Solutions, also became senior vice president of Service Lines and Technology.
“Pete and Josh have been instrumental to LMI’s growth and success in recent years, helping us expand and strengthen our customer delivery. They have distinguished themselves as leaders to our customers and our workforce,” Wagoner noted.
Executive Mosaic congratulates LMI and Doug Wagoner for his second Wash100 Award win in his industrious career. His commitment to progress and growth for LMI will also significantly contribute to the GovCon community and federal sector for many years to come.
