The General Services Administration plans to issue a final solicitation for its Polaris governmentwide acquisition contract by summer 2021, Bloomberg Government reported Friday.
The Polaris GWAC will replace the Alliant II Small Business contract vehicle and is meant for use by federal agencies to procure information technology products and services from small businesses.
In December, GSA released a draft request for proposals for Polaris and announced that the contract will be divided into three pools: small business, HUBZone and women-owned small business pools.
Companies seeking to compete for the GWAC should have experience carrying out work in one of seven performance areas: cybersecurity, cloud, system design, software development, IT operations and maintenance, information and communications technologies and data management.
GSA said in a March 9 update on Polaris it will provide more details on the evaluation process and draft scoresheet for the contract in upcoming announcements.
