The 36-year aerospace and business veteran will be part of the board tasked with guiding Voyager in commercial space investments, the company said Tuesday.
Lord currently runs an advisory business, called EML Enterprises, and previously led Textron‘s systems segment for five years before her appointment to the DOD acquisition chief position in 2017.
She joins Voyager’s board as the Denver-based company pursues two deals to acquire ground support equipment supplier The Launch Company and buy a majority stake in space company XO Markets, the parent of satellite deployment system provider NanoRacks.
