This also marks the second consecutive year that Gray has received a Wash100 Award for her significant contributions to CACI, the government contracting (GovCon) and federal sectors. In 2020, Gray earned the honor for improving customer service, advancing information technology capabilities for the company’s clients and driving cybersecurity education programs.
Under Gray’s leadership and vision, CACI has continued to advance its IT capabilities through an impressive run of secured contract awards throughout 2020. The company outreach to the federal marketplace spread across the U.S. military service branches as well as the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the public sector.
Most notably, the company received a potential 10-year, $1.5 billion contract to provide information technology assistance to the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and its partners as part of efforts to fortify NGA’s cybersecurity posture.
The contract award CACI received in Jan. 2021 covers Gray and CACI’s mission to develop enterprise IT and network support at NGA agency facilities in Virginia, Missouri and international locations to help simplify its process of procuring IT services and materials.
John Mengucci, president, CEO of CACI and fellow 2021 Wash100 Award recipient, said the award reflects the company’s commitment to protecting critical networks that support the agency’s mission-critical geospatial intelligence operations.
More recently, CACI received a three-year, $96 million contract to assist the U.S. Army as the service branch integrates, tests and deploys information technology software for processing warfighters’ electronic medical records.
The company will provide engineering and logistics support to the Army Medical Communications for Combat Casualty Care platform used to manage patient data and health services for military personnel. As the EMR system continues to update its software, CACI will support user tactical EMR system functionality and interoperability.
In addition, CACI secured a potential $160M task order in Dec. 2020 to provide information technology support for the network operations and security center of the U.S. Air Force Central Command (AFCENT).
Gray’s vision for CACI’s IT capabilities have the company offering networking, cyber, help desk and technical support to multiple AFCENT NOSC sites as well as capabilities in systems engineering, database management, network transport support and satellite communications.
It’s also important to note a potential six-year, $153M contract from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to modernize VA’s legacy financial management system through a contract award CACI secured in July 2020.
The contract also calls for the company to provide industry best practices for data quality assurance during the conversion, implement software to address data duplication across multiple VA source systems and provide related software development services.
The report said CACI has begun seeking new applicants to join its interface and data conversion team in support of VA’s FMBT program.
Outside of her work with CACI, Gray also serves as the chair of AFCEA International’s Board of Directors and is highly active in defense industry associations. Over her long federal career, she has received numerous awards in both the education and defense fields, including Lockheed Martin’s prestigious NOVA Award for Leadership, the company’s highest and most distinguished leadership recognition.
