BAE Systems‘ land and armaments business has secured a $183.8 million contract modification with the U.S. Marine Corps to manufacture 36 more amphibious combat vehicles.
The service branch will obligate the full amount at the time of award to cover the additional ACV full-rate production, fielding and support services, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
DOD noted the contract has a $3.30 billion cumulative face value and the department expects BAE to complete work under the modification in April 2023.
The Marine Corps gave BAE the green light to commence lot 1 ACV manufacturing work in December 2020 with the issuance of an initial $184 million modification.
