Mark Gerencser, a 31-year Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) veteran and three-time Wash100 Award recipient, has assumed chairmanship of the Business Executives for National Security.
He succeeds Norman Chambers, who has served as chairman of the board of directors at BENS over the past three years, and will be responsible for guiding the nonprofit’s strategy to help government partners develop approaches for addressing national security challenges, the organization said Monday.
“Gerencser is a long-time BENS member and director who brings a wealth of experience in developing public-private partnerships which will serve our organization and the nation well,” said BENS President and CEO Joseph Votel.
At Booz Allen, Gerencser served as managing director of the company’s global government business and managing partner of its commercial unit.
He is also an independent director at Guidehouse and Alion Science and Technology.
