The commission’s report “A Call to Action for Creating a Coordinated National Response to all Crises” offers recommendations to improve public and private communications, collaboration and civic coordination to facilitate an emergency national response, BENS said.
Joseph Votel, a retired U.S. Army general and BENS president and CEO, will host a discussion on the report with Commission Co-Chairs Jeh Johnson, former secretary of the Department of Homeland Security; Marc Gerencser, chairman of the board of BENS, former managing director of Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH) and a three-time Wash100 Award recipient; and Alex Gorsky, chairman and CEO of Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ).
The commission started its work on the report in June 2020. Its members include CEOs of U.S. corporations, government officials and former senior military leaders.
