WidePoint (NYSE: WYY) will continue to provide commercial cellular wireless managed services to the Department of Homeland Security under a follow-on contract worth potentially $500M over five years.
The CWMS 2.0 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has one base year plus four one-year options that would extend work through Nov. 24, 2025, the company said Wednesday.
The follow-on IDIQ covers device management, cellular services, data support, help desk services and various other forms of technical assistance.
Jin Kang, CEO of WidePoint, said the new contract builds on the companyâs work on the first CWMS award issued in 2013, adding that the program serves as "a backbone of the mobile infrastructure essential for protecting our nation.â
