Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory has received a $300M bilateral contract modification to perform additional systems engineering work for the U.S. Space Force.
USSF's Space Missile and Systems Center increased the potential value of an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from $186M to $486M through the modification, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The lab originally secured a $93M sole-source award in May 2018 to help SMC's space superiority systems directorate develop, research and engineer technology.
SMC will finance contractor services using R&D, test and evaluation funds for fiscal 2017 through fiscal 2021.
