Akima Subsidiary Gets $99M Contract to Help Maintain Army Emergency Mgmt Systems

An Akima subsidiary will provide sustainment support for emergency management systems at U.S. Army installations located within and outside the continental U.S. under a potential $99.4M contract, according to a SAM notice posted Thursday.

Herndon, Virginia-based Cloud Lake Technology will help the service branch maintain mass warning platforms such as Network Alerting Systems, Enhanced 911 technologies, Telephonic Alerting System, Giant Voice Integration and Audio Visual Notification System.

Army EM technologies listed in solicitation documents include enterprise network and telephonic alerting systems, Enhanced 911, Giant Voice Integration and Audio Visual Notification systems

The branch’s ALERT! notification system is designed to support TAS and NAS functions, according to the performance work statement. Alertus supplied the GVI and AVNS to the military service, while Airbus and MicroAutomation provided the E-911 systems.

Cloud Lake offers enterprise information technology, insider threat management, critical infrastructure protection and business life cycle and mission support services to the government sector.
