Voyager Space Holdings intends to acquire The Launch Company for an undisclosed sum in a deal that would mark Voyager's first acquisition in the launch services category.
The Launch Company focuses on developing standardized hardware, processes and equipment intended to support space missions in the government and NewSpace sectors, Voyager said Thursday.
As part of an agreement with the U.S. Air Force’s AFWERX innovation arm, The Launch Company is prototyping a mobile launch site designed to support multiple users that require small and large vehicles for their missions.
The Anchorage, Alaska-based firm has also participated in programs with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency as well as Firefly Aerospace, Relativity Space and Virgin Orbit.
The transaction, subject to regulatory closing conditions, follows Voyager acquisition of Altius Space Machines and Pioneer Astronautics.
