The Department of Defense transition team for President-elect Joe Biden will be led by Thomas Muir, director of Washington Headquarters Services, DoD News reported Wednesday.
Muir told reporters Wednesday the department has a policy in place to guide its transition to the incoming administration and started the planning process in June.
The General Services Administration on Monday ascertained Biden as the apparent winner of the presidential election, making government funds and services available to his team.
DoD will provide the next administration's agency review group office space at the Pentagon where they can also receive briefings from both civilian and military officials.
