Boeing (NYSE: BA) has secured a $657.2M contract modification from the U.S. Air Force to sustain Qatar's F-15 fighter aircraft at Al-Udeid Air Base to fulfill a foreign military sales requirement of that country.
The company will help the Qatari air force implement an F-15QA sparing program and provide logistics support for training equipment, the Department of Defense said Monday.
DoD noted the contract's cumulative face value is $8.04B and Boeing will receive $55.7M at the time of the modification award.
Boeing flew an F-15QA jet in August for its maiden flight and demonstrated system performance during the 90-minute mission.
