Rebecca Cowen-Hirsch, senior vice president for government strategy and policy at Inmarsat Government, has been elected to serve on the executive committee of the Space Enterprise Consortium for a two-year term.
She is now part of an organization that promotes collaboration across the industrial, civilian and federal sectors to accelerate space technology adoption, Inmarsat said Tuesday.
Cowen-Hirsch noted that she looks forward to supporting SpEC in commercial procurement discussions and in efforts to strengthen industry's relationship with the U.S. Space Force leadership and the Department of Defense undersecretary for research and engineering.
The three-decade public and private sector veteran has worked for Inmarsat since 2008 and previously served as program executive officer at the Defense Information Systems Agency for satellite communications, teleport and services.
