Correa has initiated and led several key efforts designed to improve how the 1,400 member DHS procurement workforce focuses as a team on finding the right solutions to enable and support the DHS mission, including the Acquisition Innovations in Motion (AIiM) framework, including the Procurement Innovation Lab (PIL), and the Education, Development, Growth and Excellence (EDGE) mentoring program.
In addition, Correa has continued to grow and enhance efforts including the Homeland Security Acquisition Institute, the Acquisition Professional Career Program, the Strategic Sourcing Program Office, and Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization.
During GovConWire’s FY21 Acquisition Forum, Correa will discuss the Defense Budget Reform, annual financial audit schedule adherence, Defense Acquisition System and implementation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework.
The virtual forum will also feature an expert panel, hosting Debra Daniels of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Joe Welch of the U.S. Army and Julia Wise of NASA.
These notable panelists will address the latest initiatives and goals for the federal acquisition process, the technology procurement programs offered at DCMA, as well as how the marketplace will change moving forward.
