A joint venture of Battelle and Stony Brook University has issued a request for proposals for a software-as-a-service model to modernize a human capital management system at the Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton, New York.
Brookhaven Science Associates, which operates BNL, is looking to migrate the current in-house HCMS architecture to the cloud SaaS environment, according to a solicitation notice posted Friday.
According to the statement of work, BSA plans to implement a two-phased approach for the project. Phase 1 will include core human resources functions, recruitment and onboarding, benefits, time and attendance and payroll. Phase 2 will cover compensation, learning management and talent management functionalities.
A potential vendor will provide interface development, system configuration, documentation, consulting, analysis, testing, data migration, training and testing services.
The SaaS-based HCMS should also be browser-agnostic and configurable to support 2.7K employees, 1.5K retirees and 5K guests annually, the notice states.
Responses are due on Nov. 30.
