Sarjoo Shah, former chief information officer of the Oklahoma Department of Health and Human Services, has joined Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) as head of its state and local health information technology programs.
He will serve as program management director and assume responsibility for SAIC’s development efforts involving government health IT programs, the company said Tuesday.
Prior to his most recent role, Shah served as chief information security officer for the state of Oklahoma where he also held director positions in various agency components.
His private sector experience includes time as senior director for state and local government at NTT Data and senior consultant at Deloitte’s consulting arm.
Vishal Tulsian, vice president of operations at SAIC, said Shah has a “ tremendous understanding of the unique challenges facing state and local health agencies” that will help the company address sector demands.
Shah brings over 25 years of government healthcare experience to his new capacity.
