The U.S. Army has awarded Day & Zimmermann a one-year, $92.7M contract modification to produce 60mm mortar cartridges.
D&Z secured $7.7M at the time of award from the branch’s ammunition procurement funds and will perform work on M1061 high-explosive rounds at a facility in Parsons, Kansas, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The company provides caliber direct-fire munition loading, assembly and packaging services through its American ordnance business unit.
