Alion Gets $87M Navy Special Projects, Training Support Order; Katie Selbe Quoted

Alion Science and Technology has received a potential five-year, $87M task order from the U.S. Navy to provide special projects and operational training support.

The company said Monday it will perform research, systems engineering, analysis, design, testing, prototyping, technology validation and integration work in support of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division under the task order awarded through the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract.

Alion will also provide unmanned vehicles, weapons systems and other resources to help warfighters compete in complex maritime and littoral environments.

Katie Selbe, senior vice president and general manager of Alion’s cyber network solutions group, said the company continues to deliver training and technical platforms to the Navy through its team of subject matter experts and engineers to help warfighters advance operational capabilities in support of their missions.
