The Federal Aviation Administration has awarded Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) a potential 15-year, $292.3M contract to provide an enterprisewide display system to replace multiple information display platforms installed at over 300 U.S. airport facilities.
Leidos will supply the Enterprise Information Display System to support agency efforts to deploy common hardware and software across various domains and system types at over 4K airport workstations, FAA said in a beta SAM website notice posted Aug. 13.
E-IDS is envisioned to provide key information such as weather data from airport sensors, runway status, visibility conditions, diagrams and other facility directives.
Work under the cost-reimbursable, firm-fixed-price and time-and-materials contract will span four base years and 11 one-year extension options.
