A partnership between Illuminate's mission solutions business and Infoscitex secured a contract to provide a cloud-based technology for the Air Force Research Laboratory to process data from sensors.
The team will replace AFRL's current sensor data management system with an information discovery and retrieval platform that employs a modular architecture and offers a foundation for analytic processes, Illuminate said Tuesday.
Mike Limcaco, chief technology officer of Illuminate, said the company seeks to provide the lab a technology that will feature a hybrid cloud architecture and is designed to work with commercial and government off-the-shelf products.
The Herndon, Va.-based firm will leverage its Vigilance software in efforts to create a sensor data as a service for AFRL's sensing effects branch.
