Andre Hentz, former acting deputy undersecretary for science and technology at the Department of Homeland Security, has joined data management and predictive analytics firm NuWave Solutions as chief operating officer.
Hentz had been serving in his most recent role since 2017 and previously held leadership positions at the DHS Science and Technology Directorate including chief scientist and science adviser to the undersecretary, NuWave said July 23.
During his tenure at S&T, Hentz led a counter-unmanned aerial system team and managed programs on emerging homeland security threats. He also spearheaded the directorate’s research and development efforts on topic areas such as package inspection, emergency response and cybersecurity.
“We are excited to have Andre join the Nuwave team,” said Reggie Brothers, CEO of NuWave and GovCon Expert. “His technical and operational expertise will be essential to our delivery and growth plans for the future.”
Before joining S&T in 2014, Hentz spent time at the Department of Defense as director of mission support for the Intelligence Systems Support Office.
