Aptim’s Federal Unit Wins $129M Contract for Navy Barge Dismantlement, Disposal Services

Aptim's federal services business has landed a three-year, $129.2M contract to help the U.S. Navy dismantle and dispose of a radiologically controlled support facility.

The company will also provide engineering planning and transport services for the Surface Ship Support Barge under the firm-fixed-price contract, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Naval Sea Systems Command received one offer via a competitive procurement and the branch will obligate the full value of the award from its fiscal 2020 operations and maintenance funds.

Contract work is scheduled to run through June 2023 and will take place in Alabama, Texas and Virginia.
