The Defense Logistics Agency has awarded Intuitive Surgical (Nasdaq: ISRG) a potential five-year, $420M contract to provide surgical robots and related equipment to service branches and federal civilian agencies.
DLA received 105 bids for the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through a competitive acquisition process, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
DLA will obligate defense working capital funds from fiscal years through FY 2025. Work will occur in California through May 5, 2025.
Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Intuitive develops robotic-assisted systems for health care institutions. The company offers the Da Vinci and Ion platforms designed to support minimally invasive surgical operations.
