The U.S. Army has awarded Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) a potential $155M contract to provide electro-optical sensors for integration onto Morocco's Apache attack helicopters.
Lockheed will supply Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensors to the Moroccan government, the Department of Defense said Friday.
M-TADS/PNVS is designed to support long-range missions and has precision engagement, laser communication, color vision and image-blending features intended to help aircrew gain situational awareness, according to Lockheed.
Army Contracting Command received one bid for the contract and will determine funds and work locations upon issuance of each order.
Contract services are slated to conclude by Aug. 31, 2023.
