TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 12, 2020 — Cubic (NYSE: CUB) received a potential five-year, $99.3M contract to continue helping the Defense Information Systems Agency manage an architecture used to process, exploit and disseminate full-motion videos, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.
The company said March 5 it will operate the Unified Video Dissemination System built to address FMV requirements for airborne, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions via six hubs across the world. UVDS uses a data network designed to connect Department of Defense gateways, operation centers, service branches, intelligence agencies and combatant commands.
Mike Twyman, president of Cubic Mission Solutions and a 2020 Wash100 winner, said the partnership with DISA seeks to help warfighters access sensor data and apply artificial intelligence or machine learning technology process information.
“This award ensures the continued 24×7 operation of the DISA UVDS, an enterprise system that has proven itself essential to users worldwide that rely on real-time FMV to perform their mission,” said Bradford Powell, vice president and general manager of C2ISR solutions at CMS.
