A joint venture between Caddell Construction and Hawaii-based Nan has won a potential $110.4M contract from the U.S. Navy to build bachelor-enlisted quarters at Naval Base Guam.
The JV will design and construct a building complex with multiple floors on Joint Region Marianas site to house unaccompanied U.S. Marines, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
A BEQ tower, a utility facility, a washing area and a community core building will compose the complex. Contract work also covers site preparation, landscaping, environmental mitigation and the construction of various utilities such as parking and sidewalks.
Naval Facilities Engineering Command received six proposals for the incrementally funded project, which DoD expects to be complete by April 2023.
The service branch will initially obligate $55.5M at the time of award and allocate another $47.5M in fiscal 2021.
