Brian Fitzpatrick, chief growth officer of LMI, has been selected by the board of directors to replace David Zolet as the company’s CEO on an acting basis.
Zolet, who also serves as LMI president and a 2020 Wash100 award winner, will step down from his current roles to pursue a new career opportunity, while the board will begin its search for his replacement as permanent president and CEO, LMI said Tuesday.
Ken Krieg, board chairman at LMI, said Fitzpatrick has been key to the consulting firm’s growth initiatives in the last two years by facilitating the execution of strategies to secure new business in support of federal government clients.
Prior to LMI, Fitzpatrick held business development leadership roles at several companies including DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC), Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC), American Systems, Ericsson and Harris, which now operates as L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX).
