Executive Mosaic is honored to present Tiffanny Gates, president and CEO of Novetta, as an inductee into the 2020 edition of the Wash100 Award for expanding the company’s analytic and security technologies, securing new certifications, supervising valuable partnerships and growing the company influence in the government contractor (GovCon) sector.
This marks Gates’ second Wash100 Award. She won her first Wash100 Award in 2019 for exploring cloud-based platforms, big data and information technology. She led Novetta’s use of cloud-based platforms run by machine learning technology such as Amazon Sagemaker and MXNet to support defense and intelligence customers, marking a significant milestone for Novetta in 2018.
She has continued to expand the company through new technological innovations and certifications throughout 2019. Most notably, Gates helped secure Novetta’s ISO 9001:2015 certification in May 2019, which has validated the company’s commitment and ability to provide consistent high-quality products and services to its customers, while always striving for improvement.
“We are extremely proud to have achieved ISO 9001 certification. It reflects long-standing best practices in growing our business and retaining high-performing staff,” said Gates. “This certification recognizes our commitment to quality in policies and procedures, business operations and customer engagement,” she added.
With the certification, Gates led the company to make significant advancements within the technology sector. A month after receiving the ISO 9001, Gates supervised the major partnership between Novetta and Enveil in June 2019. With the partnership, the companies combined analytic and security technologies to create a more secure platform for government industries.
The companies software integration will additionally help government customers protect classified or sensitive mission data. The partnership will employ homomorphic encryption method for computing tasks within an untrusted domain, with Novetta-developed machine learning models to help users generate protected watchlists with mission-sensitive indicators and reduce operations risks.
Novetta seeks to integrate the newly acquired security tools into clients’ sensitive mission sets and support tactical workloads with machine learning and big data platforms. The integration effort is part of Enveil’s Technology Alliance Program, which aims to extend security protections for data in use.
Gates said, “Our partnership with Enveil will allow us to integrate cutting edge security technologies into our customers’ most sensitive mission sets. Deploying Novetta’s big data and machine learning capabilities with Enveil’s homomorphic encryption solution at the edge will revolutionize tactical workloads we support today”
Executive Mosaic isn’t the only organization to have recognized Gates’ growth across a variety of sectors. While the Wash100 Award is the most coveted and prestigious award that the GovCon industry has to offer, Gates’ achievements have led Novetta to receive other awards such as the the Department of Labor’s HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Award in Nov. 2019.
Because of Novetta’s expansion and development over the course of 2019, the company has received the award in recognition of Gates’ new hires. The award recognizes Novetta’s hiring and retention of former military servicemen. Gates continues to administer a range of veteran support efforts such as professional coaching, awareness programs and charities.
“We are extremely proud that with over 1,000 employees our company is 40 percent veterans and that our efforts to support our veteran staff continue to be recognized,” said Gates.
Executive Mosaic congratulates Novetta and Tiffanny Gates for her 2020 Wash100 Award. Gates’ dedication to expanding the companies technological resources, partnerships and certifications proves that she is a notable figure in the GovCon industry.
