Jean Marie Kranz, an advocate for space-related missions over the past three decades, has been appointed senior director of business development and strategy for NASA Houston operations at ASRC Federal.
She will be responsible for expanding ASRC Federal’s partnerships with NASA and space companies in her new position, the company said in a statement. Kranz is the founder of consultancy K6 Strategies and most recently worked for Rep. Brian Babin, R-Texas, as his senior adviser on space policy.
Earlier in her career, she served as director of strategic relations at Jacobs (NYSE: J) and led customer relations, marketing communications and advocacy-related matters at United Space Alliance. She also spent seven years at Rockwell Space Operations Co. as communications specialist.
“We are delighted to welcome Jeannie Kranz to our team as we look to expand our Houston operations and our support of NASA Johnson Space Center missions,” said Scott Altman, senior vice president of civil programs at ASRC Federal.
Kranz served as a board or a committee member in multiple civic and philanthropic organizations that include the American Heart Association, the Coalition for Deep Space Exploration and the Houston Workforce Transition Center.
