Alion Science and Technology has relocated to a new global corporate headquarters in McLean, Va., nearly 11 months after the company signed a lease agreement to occupy office space at the Boro Tower.

Steve Schorer, CEO of Alion and former Wash100 awardee, said in a statement released Tuesday the HQ facility represents the firm™s commitment to providing technology platforms to the defense and intelligence sectors.

The company has over 55 locations nationwide and supports customer missions worldwide.

Last month, Alion opened its Prototyping, Integration and Acquisition Center in Patuxent River, Md., in a move to support the development of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems for Naval Air Systems Command.

Currently, there are more than 25 research facilities managed by Alion.
