The Department of Veterans Affairs has awarded Liberty IT Solutions a potential five-year, $434M task order to consolidate applications and projects under the VA’s enterprise portfolio management division.
Liberty said Thursday it will collaborate with Geek Sources and Ad Hoc to integrate EPMD health apps into a Cerner-built electronic health records system.
Cerner won a $10B contract last year to deploy an EHR platform for the department.
Under the task order, the Liberty-led team will develop app performance monitoring and human-centered design approaches to deliver user-focused products for military veterans.
The APM system will allow developers and VA personnel to identify potential health IT issues.
Liberty added it aims to build a system of systems that can support the Cerner platform and VA health portfolio.
