VT Group, a technology services provider to the defense sector, has purchased Delta Resources for an undisclosed amount in a move to expand fleet modernization offerings.
Alexandria, Va.-based Delta works with U.S. Navy’s Naval Sea Systems Command and program executive offices to engineer systems, as well as provides information technology support to the Defense Information Systems Agency and the U.S. Army, VT Group said Monday.
John Hassoun, president and CEO of VT Group, said the company aims to provide a full life cycle engineering service for naval platforms and weapons systems. Delta will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of VT Group and continue to be led by founder and CEO Marie Proestou.
VT Group, which is headquartered in Chantilly, cites Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Information Warfare Systems Command and Naval Air Systems Command as its prime contract customers within the military service.
