Chris Townsend, former vice president of Symantec‘s (Nasdaq: SYMC) federal sales and operations, has been appointed as area VP for federal at robotic process automation software developer UiPath, G2XChange ETC reported Thursday.
His more than two-decade federal information technology sales experience includes time as federal VP at Blue Coat Systems before its acquisition by Symantec in 2016.
Townsend also held leadership roles within Intels (Nasdaq: INTC) security arm and spent nine years at Cisco (Nasdaq: CSCO), where he served in sales management positions.
Earlier in his career, he worked in account management positions at Check Point Software Technologies and Network Associates.
He is a board member at AFCEAs Washington, D.C. chapter.
