Boeing (NYSE: BA) has landed a potential five-year, $280M contract to help the U.S. Air Force integrate Small Diameter Bomb I warheads into multiple weapon platforms.
The company will also support engineering work on deployed SDB I weapons as part of the sole-source, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
USAF is obligating $813,921 in fiscal 2019 aircraft procurement funds at the time of award.
The Pentagon expects contract work to conclude by September 2024.
SDB I is a guided munition designed to hit stationary and fixed targets from an internal bay or external hardpoint of fighter and bomber planes.
