E3/Sentinel has bought enterprise information management company Data Works as part of efforts to grow analytics, engineering and software development service offerings for the intelligence community market.
Reston, Va.-based Data Works develops systems designed to help IC customers analyze and manage huge amounts of mission-critical data, E3/Sentinel said Thursday.
Both companies plan to undertake business integration efforts in the coming year.
Andy Maner, CEO of E3/Sentinel, has said Data Works has supported intelligence agencies for more than 13 years and adds a set of products, contracts and technical professionals to the McLean, Va.-based company.
Blank Rome served as E3/Sentinels counsel in the transaction while KippsDeSanto & Co. and Caulkins & Bruce acted as its financial adviser and legal counsel, respectively.
Peloton Strategies Group assisted Data Works with the pre-sale process.
The deal comes eight months after E3 Federal Solutions and The Sentinel Co. merged to form E3/Sentinel.
