Sue Barsamian, a former executive vice president at Hewlett Packard Enterprise(NYSE: HPE), and Marvell Technology Group Chairman Richard Hill have joined Symantec (Nasdaq: SYMC) as independent directors.
Their addition brings the number of Symantec board members to 13, the company said Tuesday.
Greg Clark, president and CEO at Symantec, said Barsamian has a “strong cybersecurity background” and leadership experience at global sales, channel and marketing organizations.
Prior to HPE, she held executive roles at Mercury Interactive Corp., Critical Path and Verity.
Hill has chaired Marvell’s board since May 2016 and previously led Novellus Systems as CEO. He also served as a board member at Autodesk, Yahoo, Cadot Microelectronics, Planar Systems and LSI.
