TYSONS CORNER, VA, September 5, 2018 ” Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) will utilize data center space at CyrusOne‘s (Nasdaq: CONE) facility in northern Virginia in 2019 under a lease agreement as the former seeks to build on its business continuity measures, ExecutiveBiz reported Aug. 24.
SAIC said Aug. 23 the move will work to separate its two data center locations by more than 150 miles and pave the way for potential infrastructure consolidations in the future.
“By widening the geographical distance between our data centers, we are improving business continuity and reducing risk,” noted Bob Fecteau, chief information officer at SAIC.
