Serco Group‘s North American arm has received a potential five-year, $900 million contract to help the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services determine customers’ eligibility to purchase health insurance plans.

Reston, Va.-based Serco Inc. said Wednesday it will work with qualified Federal Health Insurance Exchange participants to facilitate their enrollment for coverage.

Dave Dacquino, chairman and CEO at Serco Inc., said the company has supported CMS’ insurance eligibility determination process since 2003 and aims to continue to provide case management expertise to the agency.

The company will also continue to develop an eligibility support platform designed to process consumer transactions, as well as updated automated processing systems that support the federal insurance program.

Serco noted it has processing centers located in Kentucky, Arkansas and Oklahoma.
