Bettina Garcia Welsh, formerly senior vice president and chief audit executive of Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), has joined LMI as chief financial officer at the Tysons, Va.-based nonprofit management consulting firm.
The three-decade finance veteran will oversee LMI’s financial operations and support its growth strategy, risk management process and mergers and acquisitions activities. the company said Wednesday.
“Her experience and leadership skills will help LMI grow, scale and maintain excellent stewardship of our customers resources,” said CEO and President Dave Zolet.
She previously worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers as a principal consultant focused on modernization projects and also held financial roles at Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC).
A certified public accountant, Welsh holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Swarthmore College and a master’s degree in accountancy from George Washington University.
