PHILIPPINE SEA (March 10, 2018) The guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG 54) fires a standard missile 2 (SM-2) from the vertical launching system in the ship’s forecastle during a missile exercise for MultiSail. The bilateral training exercise improves interoperability between the U.S. and Japanese forces. Participants benefit from realistic, shared training enhancing our ability to work together to confront any contingency.
