Boeing HorizonX Ventures Places Investment in Drone Radar Developer


TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 19, 2018 ” Boeing‘s (NYSE: BA) investment arm has joined the Series A funding round for Fortem Technologies in support of the Utah-based company’s efforts to build a radar system for unmanned aerial vehicles, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

The investment in Fortem is Boeing HorizonX Ventures‘ second in the area of autonomous systems technology and is part of Boeing’s efforts to utilize safety measures for the operation of UAVs in the national airspace, the aerospace company said Thursday.
