YOKOSUKA, Japan (Jan. 20 and 21, 2018) The dry dock holding the U.S. 7th Fleet flagship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) is flooded and the ship is pushed out following successfully completing an extended dry-dock selected restricted availability (EDSRA) maintenance period. Blue Ridge underwent structural modifications and upgrades across a multitude of systems, extending her life by approximately 20-plus years. The ship and crew now enter a follow-on maintenance period and training phase to become fully mission capable for operations.
