L2 Defense has purchased Advanced Technical and Educational Consultants for an undisclosed sum in a move to expand emergency management simulation and training offerings for clients in the defense, first responder and national security markets.
L2 Defense President Sam Lennon said in a statement published Thursday the transaction will combine the companys logistics planning and military training experience with ATECs knowledge and technical experience in the first responder market to deliver technology platforms to incident response and emergency management communities.
Edgewood, Maryland-based L2 Defense is a Small Business Administration8(a)-certified company that provides integrated logistics support, engineering and training services to chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense clients.
South Florida-based ATEC is a woman-owned small business that provides emergency services simulation support and training assistance for responders across military, federal, state and local government agencies.
The newly combined company will now support government clients that include the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Army North, U.S. Northern Command, National Guard Bureau and the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense.
