The Potomac Officers Club Adds William Bailey and Brig Gen Mark Baird as Panelists for Space: Innovations, Programs & Policies Summit

TYSONS CORNER, VA, October 09, 2017 – The Potomac Officers Club — a division of Executive Mosaic — has added William Bailey and Brigadier General Mark Baird as Panelists for the 2017 Space: Innovations, Programs and Policies Summit.

William Bailey currently serves as Deputy Director of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office of U.S. Air Force and Brigadier General Mark Baird currently serves as the Director, Space Programs, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisition, Washington, D.C.

A new Space Race is brewing and the United States is determined to retain its position as a dominant force in the space domain. Lawmakers and the Department of Defense are already looking to the future, with initiatives such as setting up the National Space Defense Center, debating the creation of a Space Corps operating under the Air Force, and creating a new position for a three-star general to serve as a space czar.

“The Potomac Officers Club is looking forward to hosting the 2017 Space: Innovations, Programs and Policies Summit,” said Jim Garrettson, President and CEO of Executive Mosaic. “Due to the considerable focus the public and private sectors have placed on the use of federal space programs, this is an especially timely event. I am confident that our distinguished speakers will provide key insights into what space initiatives and policies we can expect in the future and how the private sector can assist in realizing these goals.”

The Summit will be held on Wednesday, October 18 at the Ritz-Carlton Tysons Corner at 1700 Tysons Blvd, McLean, VA.
