The Defense Department said Friday the Naval Surface Warfare Center will obligate $32,787,486 at the time of award from fiscal 2015 and 2017 Navy weapons procurement; National Guard and Reserve equipment appropriation; and U.S. Coast Guard weapons procurement funds.
Mk 38 machine guns are currently installed on multiple classes of Navy ships and Coast Guard cutters and designed to help military personnel monitor and respond to adversarial threats at sea.
The firm-fixed-price contract’s base period of performance will occur through April 2019 in Louisville, Kentucky and Haifa, Israel.
