Vigor Works to Build Army Maneuver Support Vessel Under $978M Contract

Vigor Works has won a potential 10-year, $979.8 million to help the U.S. Army build a waterborne craft platform for the service branch’s land maneuver forces.

The Army Contracting Command received five bids for the Maneuver Support Vessel (Light)  procurement effort via the internet, the Defense Department said Thursday.

A FedBizOpps solicitation notice stated the contract encompasses development, testing, production, training, fielding and support services for the MSV(L) platform.

MSV(L) will be built to replace the Army’s aging LCM-8 landing craft and address the service branch’s future operational and tactical maneuver requirements.

The Pentagon expects Vigor Works to finish contract work by Sept. 28, 2027.
