An Oshkosh (NYSE: OSK) subsidiary has received a $195 million order from the U.S. Army to supply 748 Joint Light Tactical Vehicles and 2,359 installed and packaged kits.
Oshkosh Defensesaid Tuesday the award is the fifth order for JLTVs since the Army awarded the potential $6.7 billion JLTV production contract in 2015.
The JLTV program is in low rate initial production and is intended to replace the Army and U.S. Marine Corps‘Â Humvee fleets.
Oshkosh noted the program aims to achieve full rate production in fiscal year 2019 and obtain initial operating capability in fiscal year 2020.
