The Defense Department said Thursday 10 proposals were submitted to the Naval Facilities Engineering Command for the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via an online solicitation.
Contractors can vie for task orders to help the service branch clear munition and explosive residues as well as maintain small-arms range facilities at various locations within and outside continental U.S.
Work will also include demilitarization, mutilation, certification, verification, disposal and recycling support services.
The awardees are:
- Bering Sea Eccotech
- BERS and Weston Services joint venture
- Engineering/Remediation Resources Group
- USA Environmental
The Navy obligated $20,000 in fiscal 2017 environmental restoration contract funds at the time of award and will finance future task orders with environmental restoration; and operations and maintenance funds.
Contract work is scheduled to be completed in August 2022.
