Mara Motherway
Mara Motherway, a principal at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH), has been named head of government relations at the McLean, Virginia-based management consulting firm.
The company said Friday Motherway, who assumed her new role on June 1, oversees the companys relations with federal clients and offers advice on matters related to public policy.
With Maras sophisticated level of government and business development expertise, she will help us to provide even greater support for clients and drive growth through strong foundational relationships across government, think tanks and academia, said Nancy Laben, chief legal officer and executive vice president at Booz Allen.
She previously served as business development executive at Booz Allens military intelligence business.
The 25-year government and private sector veteran worked for at least two years at BAE Systems as director of special projects for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance business.
Motherway is a retired U.S. Navy officer who held several senior leadership positions in the federal government such as strategic adviser to the director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, managing legislative affairs for the Defense Intelligence Agency, providing acquisition oversight of the Department of Defense Satellite Communications, and leading the Pentagon division of the joint intelligence task force for counterterrorism.
